Ms. Wasserman is chair of the firm's Retail Industry Trade Regulation and Employment Law Practice Groups.

Professional Qualifications

Ms. Wasserman litigates employment cases for management. She also advises employers on internal investigations and policy regarding employee complaints and personnel matters. Her employment law practice emphasizes wrongful termination and discrimination, including sexual harassment and age, race and sex discrimination. She has successfully represented major retailers and other large companies in individual and class action cases alleging hostile work environment, disparate treatment and disparate impact.

In addition to employment cases, Ms. Wasserman regularly advises retail clients on regulatory and business practices matters. She has litigated cases involving unfair business practices, false advertising, unfair competition, violation of state and federal regulations, and vendor contract disputes. She regularly represents national clients in both the application and litigation of Proposition 65 laws, state antitrust and unfair competition laws, alcohol beverage laws and federal and state disabled access laws (ADA and Unruh Act).

Ms. Wasserman practices in both state and federal courts and has argued before the California Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court. She is an associate member of the California Grocers Association and California Retailers Association and has taught trial advocacy skills as a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
